Please note that Bourn Factor Talent Show is a competition for kids to showcase their talent to the world, and stand a chance to win amazing prizes.

The Points Per Gram Submission

Please you are expected to note your point in Grams before submission. We listed the points in Grams below;

  1. 900g Jars – 180 Points
  2. 500g Jars – 120 Points
  3. 500g Sachet – 100 Points
  4. 200g Sachet – 50 Points
  5. 60g Sachet – 15 Points
  6. 20g Sachet – 5 Points

In applying for this you need to go through this step before applying for this competition;

  1. Submit empty Bournvita sachets and jars to earn entry points to qualify for participation
  2. Smallest entry point needed is 50,000, points.
  3. Above the smallest needed increases your chance of being selected.
  4. Submit all entries to the designated Cadbury Collection centers on: 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th October 2019.
  5. All qualifying entries to get amazing prizes for participating
  6. Selected schools to send in video entries of their talent showcase presentation
  7. Selected top 5 schools and their choice orphanage are hosted to a fun and exciting end of year party
  8. Top 3 finalists win amazing cash prizes

UBA Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of the United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, is pleased to announce the 2019 edition of its annual National Essay Competition in Nigeria.

Now in its 9th year, the essay competition, targeted at senior secondary school students in Nigeria is organised annually, as part of UBA Foundation’s education initiative which is aimed at promoting the reading culture and encouraging healthy and intellectual competition amongst secondary school students in Nigeria and across Africa.

Eligibility for UBA Foundation National Essay competition  2019

  • Open to Senior Secondary School students in Nigeria;
  • Applicants must attach photocopies of their original birth certificates or photocopies of international passport data page;
  • Applicants should send in handwritten essay entries of not more than 750 words on the competition topic;
  • Applicants must submit their complete contact information (School name and address, residential address, phone number and email address);
  • The educational grant in only applicable to students who intend to study in an African University.

Selection Process

Entries received from students for the competition will be reviewed by a distinguished panel of judges made up of professors from reputable Nigerian Universities, who will then shortlist 12 best essays for further assessment. Following this, a second round of the competition will involve the 12 finalists who will write a second supervised essay from which three best essays will be selected as the overall winners from the 12 finalists emerged from the first round of the competition.
